In February 2005 , Deron Beal accepted Freecycle Networks ' first corporate support of $ 130 ,000 from Waste Management , Inc and so that means they are the founding sponsers . A second grant from Waste Management was received by Freecycle Network in February 2006 and this time the amount is $100,000, bringing total funding to $230,000 from them .

The California Environmental Protection Agency which was formed in 1991 by Governor Pete Wilson , through an executive orderis another major sponsor .The California EPA Integrated Waste Management Board is leading the way in funding the complete redesign of our website which will enable its citizens to further their individual reuse and waste diversion from landfills .

Perkins Coie , an influential law firm based in Seattle , Washington is another sponsor . The firm is number 86 on the list of the world's largest law firms by 2006 revenue . The firm was founded in 1912 and has represented Boeing Company since the founding of the aerospace giant in the early 20th century. Other prominent clients include Microsoft, Amazon.com, Starbucks, Costco, Craigslist, Google, Intel, Safeco, Nintendo, and many more .They have provided Freecycle with countless hours of pro bono services with hig efficiency .
